Sound-based similarity, scored with established phonetic algorithms, normalised to a 0–100 score.
The aggregate conflict-risk rating is there for speed, but it never hides the components. If a phonetic score and your own ear disagree, you can see exactly why the tool rated the mark as it did — and apply your own judgement. The scoring is benchmarked against real tribunal outcomes — and we will not publish an accuracy figure until it passes the bar we have set ourselves (see our accuracy page). It reflects how similarity is assessed in practice, not an abstract string metric.
